Operation: ‘Hide & Seek’

By [Sgt.] Ray64

SITREP:

One of our own needs our help. Lt Gand’s transport, a US C-130 was shot down over a region of Northern Iran while transporting him from a training exercise in Turkmenistan to a layover base in Turkey. Iranian Security Forces (ISF) have warned of the potential danger to the US Air Force if they wander to close to Iranian air space.

Lt Gand’s AC was shot down and crashed in the northern part of Khoramshahr, Iran. Radio chatter from within northern Iran indicates a massive manhunt by ISF for any survivors in that region. A faint, weak signal was received from the AC minutes after the crash from someone identifying themselves as Lt Gand before all transmissions went dark. Satellite images in the region shows a lone individual heading southwest away from the crash site.

Intelligence:

Intelligence from multiple sources have indicated that Iran, with help from redacted sources, is fielding a new GPS jamming system that can give AC GPS a false reading. This is the assumption NATO is going with. ISF have been given a ‘shoot-to-kill’ order on all survivors of the crash.

The Iraqi Defence Ministry (IDM) has protested to the UN about Iranian military force incursions into Iraqi territory and Iranian use of jamming technology against their populace.

Infiltrate the city of Khoramshahr, Iran and rescue Lt Gand. before the ISF find him.
