SITREP:
The New Cold War has begun to stall. With the capture and extraction of General Ivan Akamov, the western powers have gained some minor, but important, information on operations within the Charnarus region. His second in command, Col. Sergey Petrov, is in command of operations within the southern half of Chernarus. Tasked with setting up the security around the port towns of Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk, Col. Petrov is the General’s former head of security in the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces.
The colonel has always felt the current Russian government has become weak, and has been vocal on this in the past and was removed from his position for those views.
Known for his brutal way of dealing with those who oppose his viewpoints, Col. Petrov has surrounded himself with radically minded personnel that will do his bidding at any cost. For this reason, Gen. Akamov placed the colonel in charge of security at Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk to oversee the arrival and security of 8 SCUD missile launchers recently delivered to Chernarus.
The missiles are not yet mated with any warheads, but their capability to utilize a nuclear payload has warranted their need to be immediately destroyed!
Intelligence:
Satellites used to track radioactive sources within the Russian Federation have not detected any signatures that correspond with nuclear weapons moving toward the region. If this changes at any time during TFA’s operation in the region, NATO has vowed to ensure that The New Guard (TNG) will be denied the use of these resources.
Mission:
TFA will proceed from the airfield taken during the last mission to the towns of Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk to find and destroy the SCUD launchers and their support equipment stored in shipping containers, and kill Col. Sergey Petrov, taking photo evidence!
SEE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BELOW
While en route to Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk, the town of Novy Sabor is a regional troop barracks and needs to be cleared for the rest of the mission to succeed.
If time allows and TFA numbers are available, an armor repair depot at Mogilevka and a comms site in Goglovo need to be destroyed. This is not a mission fail criteria, however their continued survival may be of concern in later on. The final decision on these optional targets lay with Spartan.
The coastal defense site at a mountain top of Pika Kozlova, overlooking the southern coastline, is another site of interest. This site can be a potential hazard for any possible air operations in the region should the cold war turn hot. Again, this is not a mission fail criteria, but a potential PITA (pain in the ass).
Ground Topography: High hills and wide valleys.
Weather: Cool, crisp autumn day with colorful foliage.
NOTE: Should TFA be captured or killed during this operation, all western governments will disavow the existence of TFA and it’s mission inside Chernarus!
With the recent success of your last op, intelligence agencies have become interested in TFA’s further success. So there may be intel passed along, but with plausible deniability mixed in.
