by Sgt. Ray. Mission date Tuesday 23rd January 2024, 19:00 GMT
SITREP:
It’s been a week since the defeat of the VDV’s attempt to capture the airbase, and the PMC alliance is stronger than ever. TFA has now been tasked with pushing the VDV east and out of the region. The Red Rock team has volunteered to assume TFA’s duties in Sector 1. TFA is now preparing to depart the base and head east to take on the VDV.
INTELLIGENCE:
Still lacking fuel and trying to regroup their forces, the VDV is vulnerable to attack. Two bases, one in the north and one in the south, were overrun by the VDV, and they managed to capture several fuel trucks before the defenders retook the base. Resistance teams in the north and south have reported fuel convoys heading for Stocken and Roche, and they are expected in those towns within the day. They will use Rt 191 to complete the mission as Rt 493 has been mined to prevent NATO forces from approaching Rosche.
The fields immediately west of Rosche have been mined. Intel suggests the type as the Apers Anti-personnel Mines. The possibility of Anti-tank mines being used is high.
The town of Pierperhofen on 191 has been used as a maintenance depot of their armor assault units.
Mortar teams have been spotted east of Rosche approximately 3km. Due to the lack of experienced mortar teams (most died in Ukraine), accuracy is limited. Caution is advised!
Rosche has been taken by the VDV as its regional HQ. Resistance report that a Russian Federation flag is flying outside the HQ building. All attempts by the resistance to infiltrate the HQ has been futile and they have taken heavy casualties.
The VDV have been using confiscated mass transit buses captured in Poland and Germany to transport their forces. German authorities would like TFA to not destroy these vehicles as they will be needed to rebuild the German and Polish economies. However, should the VDV try and escape using these buses, their destruction is permitted!
MISSION:
Proceed from the base and head for Rosche using Rt 191 to Stocken and then south to Rosche. Locate and eliminate the Russian leadership! Eliminate all VDV forces and assets along the way. Set up an ambush of the fuel convoys at each town.
Ground Topography: Low rolling hills and farmland with sparse woodlands.
Weather: Warm and sunny.

TFA Equipment

UPDATE: NATO was impressed with the performance of the PMCs at the base. For this reason, over the last week, several flights of cargo have been delivered to the base for the PMCs to utilize. Among these are upgrades to our firepower and mobility.
Transportation: Squads will be getting Coyote P HMG (.50 BMGs); PLs will be getting Land Rovers FFRs (these are also the respawn vics); and Spartan will have a Land Rover hardtop that will service as a vehicle ammo resupply and refueling.
Loadouts: Bye-bye 5.56 mm, hello 7.62 mm! A new shipment of FN SCAR-H CQCs have been issued to TFA to aid in the sweep east. There are also FN SCAR-H CQC with grenade launchers available as the PL allows.
DMRs will have the FN SCAR-H LB.
AT will have the basic MAAWS, but among the shipment were the Metis-M launchers. Spartan has control of these, check with him.
MG still has the M240Bs. Sorry, no upgrades there.
CAS: Still unavailable.
Communications: SOP will be followed.
Ammo: There are AP and tracer ammo available.
Rations: Corporal Aias has packed leftovers from the BBQ at his house. It’s a Grab-N-Go sack lunch. Guten Appetit!
Mission Failure: Failure to destroy the fuel convoys, kill the Russian leadership, and destroy the Armor and IFV threats. Overlord will confirm the completion of armor and IFV task.
Elimination of the mine field at Rosche is not necessary. German authorities will deal with those!
