SITREP:
TFA have been contracted to provide training and security for a newly emerged democracy. Freeaf is a newly founded country emerging after decades of civil war between three local militias. Having secured a forward base area TFA need to orientate themselves with the local area and its inhabitants.
Having secured both a newly constructed airfield and arrested the local Police Chief, TFA have made an immediate impact on FreeAF.
Whilst some among the FreeAF government are backing TFA’s quick response, some are less amiable and point to the lack of local government oversight and control of TFA’s actions.
INTEL:
For clarity, government forces will be known as Blufor, Militia 1 as GreenFor and Militia 2 as RedFor.
Collation of recon observations from our last mission has provided further areas of interest. Several possible caches and RedFor forces locations have been marked on the map.
After questioning, the local Police Chief has confessed to be in the pay of RedFor, and has informed us that the airfield was being used to bring in light arms and take out ‘local cargo’. Further questioning persuaded him to reveal that this ‘cargo’ is local civilians: RedFor are selling their ‘subjects’ to the highest bidder, including for forced labour, domestic and sexual reasons.
The last thing the informant was able to tell us was that a mobile clinic is running a ‘tissue matching’ service under the guise of a vaccination program. Civilians with matches go missing on a regular basis. The Police Chief has been hiding both the depopulation of towns and villages with false reports and ignoring all missing persons reports. Forensic examination of the aircraft at the airfield has backed up this information.
RedFor and GreenFor casualties have confirmed that they have joined forces. Disaffected veterans and local irregular ‘death squads’ are being deployed into the area.
This group has told us that the are expecting their masters to provide support soon.
Mines and IEDs were used extensively during the war and remain a hazard.
Objectives
- Clear and secure previously reconnoitred areas of RedFor.
- Recon FOB Charlie area.
- Secure and clear the same area.
- Build FOB Charlie.
Potential OpFor
All previous intel is now void, expect anything from sabotage and IEDs to Armoured Assault with Artillery support.
