GTA: Grand Theft Aircraft – Part 1

by Sgt. Ray. Mission date Friday 22nd March 2024, 19:00 GMT

SITREP:

CSAT Europe has been tasked with research and development for a 5th generation stealth aircraft called the Khishchnik (Russian for Predator). The prototype is at the Research base in central Chenarus. This site was chosen by the CSAT hierarchy for its close proximity to territories protected by NATO forces for testing against their radar systems.

The Khishchnik has made 2 flights that have been observed by the Chenarus underground, but NATO has not detected it on any radar in the region. With the NATO command in a heightened state of security, NATO wants this AC gone. However, TFA has volunteered to go into Chenarus and steal the Khishchnik.

Intelligence:

The coastal area is moderately defended. Most of the CSAT defenses are in the interior to secure the air base. There are 2 QRF bases in Chenarus, the QRF Air Operations at an airfield in the northeast and a QRF Ground Operations on the southwest area of Chenarus.

The Underground has been feeding NATO with intelligence on enemy operations, troop movements and patterns for going on 6 months steady in preparation for this op.
NOTE: There will be no contact with the underground during this mission to prevent their compromise.

The only Long range communications are with the field officer (FO) only. The only reason known is the encryption used in their radios area are memorized by the FO and not written down. The only other radios are short range and with squad/fire team leaders. Due to terrain restrictions, RS radios won’t communicate outside the immediate area. In other words, take out the FO and troops in the area are deaf. Use stealth entering each town, kill FO, the go loud and proud until that objective is completed.

Ground Topography: High hills and mountains

Weather: Fairly mild and mostly clear skies.

Mission:

Infiltrate Chenarus from the southeast and work west along the coastline to Chernogorsk and destroy the shipping area.

  1. From the Mission Start point, proceed west along coastline to the town of Kamyshovo, eliminate the field officer, then any other CSAT troops encountered and secure vehicles for the squads.
  2. Platoons will split. One will head inland to the coastal defense site at castle Rog northwest of Kamyshovo. The other platoon will continue west to Elektrozavodsk and clear the town of field officer and troops. Elektrozavodsk is not a strategic location to CSAT, so resistance is expected to be light.
  3. Once both platoons have completed their objectives, the platoons will link back up just west of Elektrozavodsk and push onto the primary port city of Chernogorsk. Stealth is top priority here until the field officer is eliminated, should he surrvive the initial assault, a call for support from ground and air will be initiated. Plant as much explosives as possible on the objectives in the area as needed, head east to Elektrozavodsk and detonate charges once clear. This should alert the QRFs to head to Chemogorsk while TFA pushes inland for the air base.
  4. TFA dig in and await for daylight to push on into the air base. (End Day 1 location)
