SITREP
Iran has been taking advantage of the recent middle east maritime chaos caused by the Houthi attacks to do a little clandestine hijacking of their own. So far four ships have gone missing and their crews taken hostage – two oil tankers, one cargo ship, and one LNG tanker. Given the extremely sensitive political situation, sending in military forces to intervene is impossible, so TFA have been asked to take the rescue mission.
INTEL
Some of the captured crew members have been released through negotiation, but most are unaccounted for. The rescued crew have no idea where they were held, as they were kept blindfolded and frequently moved to different locations.
Local contacts indicate the Iranians are not expecting any direct intervention, so as long as stealth is maintained they should be relatively unprepared for a fight. Suppressors are therefore MANDATORY AT ALL TIMES FOR ALL WEAPONS.
MISSION
TFA will insert under cover of darkness via helicopter to waiting RHIBs, board all four hijacked ships and disable their steering systems so the enemy cannot use them. We have been provided with remote access terminals and satellite uplink units for this purpose. Our job on each ship is to deploy a satellite uplink on the roof of the bridge superstucture, and a remote access terminal on the main bridge. This will allow remote operators to override and lock out the local controls.
Once the ships are secured, we will regroup on the northern side of the river, search and clear the port security base, and secure transportation. We will then assault a local military base to search for information on the hostages. There may also be other objectives of opportunity we can eliminate along the way.
