SITREP
USS Nimitz was diverted on its return home to Altis after we received word that Cal “Specter” Martin was shot down during a CIA mission.
During the trip to Altis we were provided access to images that Specter was able to transmit to the CIA before he was shot down from Mi6 officer WolfHound. These images seem to suggest a strong buildup of Russian forces.
Since we have JTAC, SAS and some Navy SEALS aboard from //// REDACTED ////, in order to allow the possibility of safely flying in NATO forces, we have been tasked with finding and securing an area we can use as an airfield. Air assets available currently are 4 x Blackhawks, 2 x A10C’s, 2 x Black Wasp 2’s and 2 x Little Birds.
Since no relief is going to be available until we have secured a landing zone on Altis, it is mission critical that we take no equipment losses at this stage.
BRIEFING
Cal “Specter” Martin was shot down over Altis during a photo mission. We haven’t heard anything from his rescue beacon, but we assume he’s survived the crash and has been taken prisoner.
From the pictures we received from Specter before he went dark, it is clear that Russia has entered Altis with large show of force.
Our primary objective is to secure or destroy the radar zone at Eginio to reduce the threat that Russian air assets have over the Nimitz.
So that we can bring in our heavier NATO forces, it is also mission critical that we secure the airport in the area of Feres and Selakano, and that we secure these two towns to prevent any enemy counter attack. Without this airfield in our hands, the outcome of the operation is likely to be very unfavorable.
From the SigInt (satellite images) we have obtained from CIA officer codename “Sheperd”, we have a good overview of the areas we need to secure around the airport and the radar station, so we have a good idea of which buildings around the area we will need to secure.
Given that the USS Nimitz is still undetected on the coast of Altis, let’s try to secure the Radar station before setting off too many alarms with the Russians, if we play this right we should be able to get in position to hit the airport before the alarms go off.
OBJECTIVES
1. Secure Radar Station (Optimal Outcome)
Secure the radar station covering southern part of Altis to curb enemy aircraft support, and provide friendly forces with a picture of hostile air assets.
2. Destroy Radar Station (If Option 1 becomes unfeasible)
Destroying the radar station will dampen enemy air support, but would also lose us the strategic benefit of having knowledge of enemy aircraft movements.
3. Securing Airport Area
Clear and take control of the airport at Feres / Selakano. The two towns will also need to be cleared and secured to minimize the possibility of Russian counterattack before we are able to insert our heavier assets.
4. Side Mission
We need to locate and Evac “Specter”, HumInt we have received from friendly assets on the ground suggests that he is being held in the area of Feres / Selakano, so this operation this will need to coincide with Objective 3. Bring him back alive.
We are now on approach to Altis, so do what you need to do to be mission ready, good luck and God speed.
