SPECTRE Campaign: Act 3

by Col. Shepherd. Mission date Tuesday 10th September 2024, 19:00 GMT

SITREP

Although the surviving Red Cross doctors are in hospital recovering from injuries sustained at the hands of their captors (ahem), and are unavailable for further questioning at this time, information that we managed to garner from them during our previous operation seems to indicate that one of the few AAF leaders still alive may be in a meeting with Russian forces at the main hotel in Irakli.

As we have spent a lot of time and effort in disrupting their combined operations, this is not something we can afford to take lightly, so we will need to act on the info we have quickly and decisively.

Storyline: As Mi6 officer WolfHound and his team are briefing the go team to prepare for a location and elimination mission for the surviving AAF leader, the briefing is interrupted by the Commander of the local NATO forces, who requests a private audience with WolfHound.

BRIEFING

The upshot of our meeting with the NATO Brass is that Spartan has been commissioned to run a stealth mission to take out the both the power plant near the city of Sofia and the radar station at Skiptro. Both objectives will seriously disrupt AAF / Russian operations, and, if they can infiltrate undetected, they are to find a suitable location at Iraklia to eliminate the AAF HVT and finish off the AAF Leadership once and for all.

At the same time, and in hope of drawing some attention away from Spartans area of operations, the rest of TFA are tasked with assisting local forces in securing the cities of Chalkeia, Panagia and the AAF base at the Quarry south of Pyrgos. Once the quarry at Pyrgos is in friendly hands, it will offer an excellent overview of hostile movements inside Pyrgos itself which will in all likelihood be the target of future operations.

Our expectations are for very little resistance at Panagi, so this part of the operation should be done with as little noise as possible. After completion, the team will move by vehicle to a point a few miles outside of Chalkeia, disembark and get an overview of the city. NATO armor forces are taking up position north of Chalkeia to prevent possible Russian reinforcement.

We are anticipating a much stronger and well organized resistance in Chalkeia, and we aim to go loud here, so we have 2 x A10’s on station for CAS.

We have very little information about the Quarry and the neighboring Outpost, so expect and be prepared for anything. The enemy will be fully alert to our presence before this final stage of the operation, and it won’t take a military genius to realize what our final objective is likely to be, so the more havoc and confusion we can create with the Spartan and main Force operations up to this point, the easier it’s likely to be for us to achieve a total victory in all areas. If Spartan are able to complete their tasks with no serious casualties, they should be able to act as a QRF if required.

After the successful completion of our objectives, we will need to commandeer vehicles from the Local NATO forces and drive back to Ekali to await Helo extraction to Nimitz
