SITREP
Our operations in the area have thus far been largely successful, and after some tough fighting over the last few days NATO forces have largely secured the areas south of Pyrgos and Dorida, strengthening our position in the South Eastern peninsula and putting the Russian forces on the backfoot.
In order to further consolidate our position, we need to take advantage of the Russian state of disorientation and quickly and forcefully push to break out of this area. However, after losing A10 support a few days ago due to SAM missile launches from the west, our progress is severely hindered as we cannot progress further without access to continued CAS support.
After debriefing Specter (our A10 Pilot) Sheperd determined that the most likely location of the SAM launchers is one of three locations: the island of Makrynisi in the Gulf of Pyrgos, the Russian Base on the peninsula south of Sagonisi Island, and / or at the AAC airfield East of the town of Therisa.
At the current time, continued SAM operation essentially renders all on our Western flank a No-Fly zone.
BRIEFING
Our mission is to find and neutralize the SAM emplacements to ensure further progress in our AO.
Since we can expect to meet strong Russian Spetsnaz forces going forward, the plan of action for this operation will be in part stealth and in part an armed assault.
We will fly NOE to Ekali to meet with a NATO convoy who will drive us to Faronaki, where NATO forces have placed Assault Boats and SDVs for our use. We will then divide into teams and head off to begin our individual mission assignments.
- – The stealth team will insert to the South of Makrynisi Island using SDVs. They will then push North to locate and destroy any SAM emplacements whilst enemy forces on the island are distracted by the main attack from the North.
- – The Assault teams will move by assault boats to a point North of Makrynisi Island, where one team will hook left to Assault the island and one team will hook right to assault the Russian Base on the peninsula. Teams on Makrynisi, please coordinate carefully and PID before firing once the assault begins.
- – Once both of these objectives are secured, and all enemy forces neutralized, all teams will reconvene and assault the airfield East of Therisa.
Once we are certain that all of the SAM locations have been located and put out of action, we can call in CAS support to take on Russian reinforcements that are sure to flood the area.
It goes without saying at this point that any intel we can find may be of huge importance for further operations, be on the lookout.

- Fly to Ekali
- Meet and join NATO forces for ground transportation to Faronaki
- Stealth team – Board the SDV`s and dive to the target location undetected. Locate, plant charges on and destroy any SAM that may be on the island.
- Assault Team One – Board the assault boats, land and clear the Island from the North to create a distraction for the stealth team. Eliminate all enemies on the Island
- Assault Team Two – Board the assault boats, land to the West of the Russian Base, assault and clear it, make a thorough sweep for actionable intel before planting charges and destroying the base.
- All teams reconvene and move to the beach at Grid “121123”
- Once all units are re-equipped, reorganized and ready to go, make a combined assault on the airfield to the South to locate and disable any remaining SAM emplacements that may be located there.
- Once the all SAM threats have been neutralized, call in CAS support to take on Russian reinforcements that are expected to descend in force on your location, and then call in a Heli evac back to base.
