SITREP
The African nation of Asbarton has been in a civil war for nearly 5 years. The Asbarton Republic has been friendly with the west and has, on occasion, allowed western powers to operate from locations within its borders. The mineral rich nation has shared their resources with the west in exchange for help in their civil war.
Intelligence
The rebel forces, the African Desert Resistance (ADR), has vowed the overthrow the Asbarton Republic by any means. They have aligned themselves with a faction of the CSAT forces. CSAT has provided materials and intel, but no “boots on the ground” due to their forces being tasked elsewhere. Latest intel has the ADR taking over an airbase in the south for a potential shipment of arms from CSAT and several of the Asbarton Republic forces at the base are missing.
UN & NATO have several outposts located in Asbarton to assist Asbarton Republic ground forces in their fight. While UN/NATO forces are not actively engaging ADR forces, on occasion the ADR will probe the UN/NATO outposts to harass them. The ADR has stepped up the harassment and 2 outposts are low on supplies.
Mission
TFA will depart the main airfield in the northwest and proceed to FOB Hawk and FOB Falcon east of the airfield to deliver supplies. 2 supply trucks will be taken and one truck left at each FOB. After the last FOB is supplied, TFA will proceed to the south airbase and eliminate the forces there. This action has been approved by the UN Security Council and NATO Command since TFA is not a national military, therefore not prohibited from military action in Asbarton… per se.
