SITREP
The island of St George has experienced a coup. The St George National Defense Army (NDA) has seized power from the current governing administration, citing the current President is too close to the Western powers and giving away the island’s resources to them. The NDA has been receiving assistance from an unknown outside source via cargo ships. One shipment has been delivered with arms and ammunition, vehicles, and other assorted materials.
The President and a large portion of the island’s population has fled St George to New Zealand. The remaining population is hiding on the island. The President of St George has been sending out radio broadcasts to the remaining population, assuring them that help is on the way and to avoid anyplace the sounds of war can be heard.
Intelligence
The NDA has received a shipment of T-72s, BTR-80s and several pickups with M2s mounted. This was sent in on the first shipment, while the second shipment is in dock at St George City waiting to be unloaded. The Harbor Master (HM) is currently being held by the NDA on the ship in the control room. The HM is the only person that can provide safe access to the harbor and the docks.
As of this intel report, the only activity by the NDA is mostly on the west side of the island. NDA forces are scattered all over the island with its concentration in the west.
MISSION
TFA will begin the mission on the ship repair island off the southwest coast. Upon completion of the briefing, TFA will disembark from the island via boats provided to LZ Landfall. From LZ Landfall, TFA will assault the military base and destroy all enemy assets EXCEPT the vehicles located in the middle of the compound. TFA will utilize these to push north.
Upon completion of the assault, TFA will break into 2 groups. Group 1 will consist of the main force of TFA, and Group 2 will be a 2-man team consisting of Cpl. Bulldog and Pvt Gunzablazen.
Group 1 (TFA) will proceed north along the western coastline to the City of St George to capture the cargo ship and rescue the HM. Group 2 will proceed to their objectives (A1 & A2) to blow up the Comm Centers vital to NDA operations. Upon completion of Group 2’s objectives, several B sites may be assaulted or return to the main force of TFA. The decision will be at Group 2’s discretion.
Weather/Terrain: Mostly clear and sunny (day op) in the area with high slopes to either side of the road.
OPFOR
The NDA is a highly trained military force with current Russian-made weapons and equipment, The vehicles (listed in the intel brief) are now in use.
No intel is available on QRF strength or if one is available. The likelihood of a QRF will decrease exponentially after the Comms Center at A1 & A2 are destroyed,
No mines are known to be in TFA’s AO. However, Group 2’s AO is unknown!
TFA Equipment
Standard loadouts are in effect. Vehicles at Objective 1 are your transportation and respawn.
Standard radio operating procedures will be followed. Callsign for Group 2 will be at the team’s discretion and given to Overlord at mission start.
Rations are whatever you can scrounge up during mission.
Rules of engagement areas directed by your PL/SL.
ALL civilians have been instructed by their president to remain hidden for their safety
Mission Fail Criteria: Failure to destroy Comms Centers A1 & A2, and/or the failure to rescue the HM.
