SITREP:
Welcome to Operation Savior.
Since we did such a bang up job in our previous two mission assignments on this contract, it has been extended and we are still on the hunt for the missing cargo from the MV Advent.
As you know we “Rescued” the shipping manager, Tom Urban, and recovered a lot of intel. The various intelligence agencies have been pouring over what we recovered, as well as the evidence obtained by Hotel during the last mission.
It is now suspected that one or more department within the UN have been assisting terrorist cells in obtaining advanced weapons. During the operation Hotel located and destroyed two UN cargo trucks loaded with prototype advanced Stinger launchers, as well as components for prototype long range low frequency radar systems capable of detecting and engaging stealth aircraft far beyond the range of any current systems. We captured the computers they were using to decode the software for the targeting systems and destroyed the launchers/radar equipment, plus the targeting computer itself, before they had a chance to use the weapons against any freedom loving nations – or worse, civilian airliners.
INTEL:
Mr. Urban has been spending some quality time with some intense individuals at an undisclosed location, and has revealed some interesting information from what we’ve been told. We are waiting for their report, hoping it will lead us in the right direction. We have been told that some of the missing cargo is of a biological warfare variety, and that we can expect appropriate PPE for our protection. What the exact weapon is, is either currently not known or the alphabet club has decided it is need to know and we currently have no need.
Which brings us to today. As you remember from our last operation, two helicopters left Fallujah and disappeared in this mountain range. Based on some of the intel we recovered from the terrorist headquarters, it is believed those copters contained the unknown biological weapon or weapons, or at least persons that know what it is and/or where it is at.
MISSION:
Our mission is to locate the helicopters and their cargo/passengers, as well as any other intel we can find. This area is currently being turned over to local government forces, and NATO is in the process of reducing the strength of their forces as the drawdown continues, with the assistance of a peace delegation from the UN. Local military forces currently occupy the main city, and are preparing to move into the three FOBs once they’re ready to. Until then, coalition forces still hold the two airbases and three FOBs to prevent any insurgents moving in before the locals move in.
Our mission is “CLASSIFIED”!!! As far as anyone knows we are here to assist in the drawdown and transition of forces.
