SITREP
The FKLA (Free Kekestan Liberation Army) has stepped up its action in the days following the Coup d’état against the Democratic Republic of Kekestan. They have conducted a vehicle ambush that has ended in the capture of ten (10) UN Scientists. They are continuing offensive operations in the area.
INTEL
The FKLA have stepped up their activity by Ambushing and Capturing a UN Scientific Team that were here to study the motivation of the new Socialist Ideology of “it’s no skin off an open book” and “hit the nail red handed”.
The organization’s metaphors continue with their recruitment and have filled their ranks with newcomers. Armed with surplus Soviet style weapons and home grown tactics they continue to fight. They have limited Offensive Air capabilities and are still focused on land based attacks to secure larger areas of control.
They now know TFA is in the Operational Area and is now conducting asymmetric attacks.
We have experienced the use of Mines or IEDs in the operational area,.
We believe they still have a large force that can be rallied to form a QRF.
Weather: Cool and partly cloudy with a light wind blowing to the South. No precipitation expected for the next 24 hours.
Terrain: Mostly desert environment, rolling hills to low mountain peaks, and lightly wooded areas to in our operational area.
MISSION
TFA conducts a Route Clearance and Search and Rescue of the missing UN Scientists. TFA will follow Route Freedom to clear the route from Fire Base X-Ray to the Objective Area. Then will Find, Fix, and Destroy the FKLA forces securing the UN Scientists.
Once the scientists are secured, TFA will use the FKLA Transport Trucks on site, load and return the UN Scientists to Fire Base X-Ray via the cleared route. TFA has ROE of Weapons Free on all FKLA forces to neutralize any and all enemy forces encountered in the operational area.
EXECUTION
TFA will move by Platoon by M1230 MRAPs along Route Freedom to Clear the Route to the Objective area. Using long range engagements TFA will neutralize the FKLA forces as much as possible then will move into Platoon sectors and systematically search and hard clear their sectors. When the Platoons arrive at the FKLA force Headquarters Find, Secure, and Safeguard the UN Scientists until the operational area is fully secure and the UN Scientists can be safely moved to the transport Trucks for movement back to Fire Base X-Ray.
TFA will operate in a combined Platoon effort to conduct a Route Clearance and Search for the missing UN Scientists. Platoon Leaders will deploy their units to provide and coordinate fire and movement to neutralize the FKLA forces. TFA will secure the UN Scientists and safely return them to Fire Base X-Ray then prepare for follow on missions.

Enemy Forces
Expect the FKLA assets to be equipped with Soviet style equipment, and to be formed in traditional Platoon formations. Their equipment includes commercial type vehicles with heavy mounted Machine guns. We have experienced the use of Mines or IEDs in the operational area, and we believe they still have a large force that can be rallied to form a QRF.
We expect the FKLA to fight as small units, they have been moving into the evacuated villages to secure footholds in the area to expand their power base. They still have not exhibited an established hierarchy of a chain of command so they continue to lack comprehensive C2 in the operational area. We do not yet understand the motivation behind the capture of the UN Scientists.
Friendly Forces
The Kekestan Government continues to evacuate the bulk of the civilian population from the operational area to safeguard them. They have directed TFA to conduct a search for and recover the missing UN Scientists then return them to Fire Base X-Ray.
The Kekestan Military Force will continue to secure the operational area and provide Intelligence to TFA as it becomes available. The Kekestan Military Forces are operating Fire Base X-Ray.
TFA Equipment
Limited Arsenals are available.
Each Platoon is provided a M1230 MRAP Respawn Vehicle. Respawn is facilitated by Flag Poles at Spawn Point. Spartan will have an additional Respawn Vehicle and can be used if the Platoon Respawn Vehicle become unavailable. All Respawn Vehicles are also Arsenals.
