SITREP
Our AO is an island nation by the name of Ardistan which, while it has close economic relations (mostly due to their decent size oil industry) to the west, it has never actually managed to get itself a position in a western military pact like NATO or other affiliations. Thus it has been dependent on whatever they can get their hands on for defence – which, due to what the ‘less-legal’ markets have to offer, has predominantly become Russian style equipment.
Lately the Russian government has been trying to gain a good relationship with this nation, and they have recently granted a few helicopters of various types and ages. This, sadly for them, did not work as they hoped.
Recently a new player (military origination) appeared on the field – no known affiliations, but their stocks of modern Russian equipment and the fact that they have been heard speaking Russian does give a good indication, and also that their first move since being formed is that they invaded Ardistan. Of course, Russia denies having any responsibility.
The Ardistan army is trying its best, and with the homeground advantage they have been standing their ground against forces which not only outnumber them, but also seem to have everything to take take advantage of our local’s weaknesses (decent air capability, but no armour) while bringing everything our guys can’t do anything about (we still have good air defence, but with the airforce being grounded, our anti-armor is crippled). Still, with a lot of digging in they are now in a stale-mate, the only problem being that both sides are still losing manpower and supplies to the fighting, and our allies are projected to run out first.
This is why a local NATO force is being redirected to assist, and TFA is being deployed to assist in ground operations while the rest of the force is setting up a supply line to keep both TFA and our allies fighting.
Topography: hilly and sometimes urban.
ORDERS
For our operations in this area we have been placed under the Ardistian commander. He has given orders to lead an offensive to poke a hole in the enemies defences, we are expecting few but very heavily guarded defensive emplacements, the gaps being filled with minefields (both AP and AT). This is also the reason why we have been chosen, because while a frontal offensive would and already multiple times has been stopped by these very heavily equipped positions (equipment including AAA guns, entrenched tanks, ATGM launchers, MG’s, entrenched IFV’s, GPMG’s and they also have acces to low caliber indirect fire), we are equiped with mineclearing vehicles which can quickly create a passable area in the minefields.
Once we have done this we are to get past the enemy defences and set up our own defences in the designated location to block off any north eastern reinforcement to the enemy defensive lines. An allied convoy will be following us through to do the same for the northwestern half. Allies will clean up the defensive line once we have them cut off and secured. Also, we have seen a base near your designated position, clear it out while you pass.
ORDERS IN SHORT
Get intel on how the enemy’s defences are set up.
Break through enemy defences, while evading the heavily guarded defence posts.
Clear out the marked base.
Set up defences past the enemies defences to cut them off, and hold until allies arrive.
MAPS

OpFor
The enemy has access to a LOT of armour and not just the old crap, they have been seen moving around T-90s – although they seem to be on reserves should anything go wrong. They also have IFV’s ranging up to BMP-3s and APC’s up to BTR-80as (for all the above expect: the higher the number the lower the quantity).
Infantry is as per usual, russian stuff
Air: none

Friendly Forces
We are stepping of from inside friendly defences, so we will be passing friendlies, also there is the friendly convoy which will be following us through the enemies defences.
Our allies are using whatever they could get their hands on, this has turned out to be almost exclusively Russian. They do not posses any heavy armor’ and their airforce’ while decently formidable compared to the rest of their forces, has been grounded due to overwhelming amounts of AA in the region.

TFA Equipment
TFA is the west bringing in a small amount of forces. We have been given Strykers with mine ploughs for clearing minefields and m1220 MRAP with no weapons for further transport. We also have two humvees and an LAV-C2 as command vics and spartan vic (the two humvees are also the respawn vehicles).
We have 6.8mm rifles and 7.62 for MG and DMR.
We have the usual spread of AT – although someone misplaced the HAT crate and we are now missing our usual HAT weapons. Luckily our friends could spare us some of theirs, so we now have METIS launchers for HAT.
CAS: unavailable
Radio: SOP as usual
Ammo: pointy sticks
Mine threat: in the designated areas
Rations: also misplaced, so whatever our friends can spare
Mission failure: failure to breach enemy defences in a timely manner, and failure to set up a sturdy defence on the other end.
