SITREP
The FKLA (Free Kekestan Liberation Army) has consolidated operations in the area, they have begun reconnaissance on Fire Base X-Ray. Now, days after the Coup d’état against the Democratic Republic of Kekestan, they have conducted a number of small ambushes and have seized several Air Defense Systems.
With the safe recovery of the UN Scientists they have openly taunted TFA with a pending Attack. They are continue small offensive operations in the area but have reinforced a classic castle to the southeast.
INTEL
The FKLA having stepped up their small unit activities ambushing and capturing military equipment, most recently several Air Defense Systems. They have taken a few losses against TFA and appear to be planning a reprisal attack on us here at Fire Base X-Ray.
The FKLA recruiting motivation of the new Socialist Ideology of “it’s raining pots that never boil” and “my dogs are castles in the air”. The metaphors continue to fill their ranks with recruits. Armed with surplus Soviet weapons and home grown tactics they continue to fight.
They have fortified their Defensive Air Defense capabilities and are still focusing on land based attacks to secure control. They now want to bloody TFA as we have diminished their operational area.
Weather: Cool and partly cloudy with a light wind blowing to the South. No precipitation expected for the next 24 hours.
Terrain: Mostly desert environment, rolling hills to low mountain peaks, and lightly wooded areas to in our operational area.
MISSION
TFA conducts a deliberate Attack on the KFLA main forces located at the castle. TFA will follow Route Saber Strike to clear the route from Fire Base X-Ray to the Objective Area. Then will Find, Fix, and Destroy the FKLA forces in and around the castle strong hold.
TFA will conduct assembly area operations once the enemy forces have been neutralized.
EXECUTION
Platoon Leaders will plan the route to the Objective area and name it Route Saber Strike. TFA will move by Platoon by M1230 MRAPs along Route Saber Strike to Clear the Route to the Objective area. Using long range engagements and fire and maneuver TFA will neutralize the FKLA forces as much as possible then will move into Platoon sectors and systematically search and hard clear their sectors.
When the FKLA force Headquarters is found Secure and Search for any intelligence available, once secured destroy the C2 node. TFA will conduct Assembly area operations when the area is secure.
TFA will operate in a combined Platoon effort to conduct a Route Clearance and Deliberate Attack. Platoon Leaders will deploy their units to provide supporting fires and coordinate movement to neutralize the FKLA forces. TFA will secure the Castle and neutralize all enemy forces in the operational area. Expect to encounter BDRMs, and we have seen evidence of mortar fire. Be prepared to use long range stand-off weapons to maximize your engagement ranges to safeguard your platoon Respawn Vehicle.

Enemy Forces
The FKLA are equipped with Soviet style equipment, and appear to be formed in traditional Squad and Platoon formations. Their equipment includes commercial type vehicles with heavy mounted machine guns and BRDMs. They have acquired several Air Defense Systems including Zu 23/2 and possibly 57mm Flack Guns. There is evidence of Mine and IEDs in the operational area, and it is believed they still have a large force that can be rallied to form a QRF.
We expect the FKLA to fight in small units as they continue to conduct ambushes and reconnaissance operations, they have established a strong hold in an ancient castle to secure home base. They now appear to have a chain of command, and it is assumed it is this element that is planning the attack on Fire base X-Ray. We expect the FKLA to rally forces to mount and deliberate attack on Fire Base X-Ray.
Friendly Forces
The Kekestan Government continues to evacuate the bulk of the civilian population from the operational area to safeguard them. They have directed TFA to conduct a search for and recover the missing UN Scientists then return them to Fire Base X-Ray.
The Kekestan Military Force will continue to secure the operational area and provide Intelligence to TFA as it becomes available.
TFA Equipment
Each Platoon is provided a M1230 MRAP Respawn Vehicle. Respawn is facilitated by Flag Poles at Spawn Point. Spartan will have an additional Respawn Vehicle and can be used if the Platoon Respawn Vehicle become unavailable. All Respawn Vehicles are also Arsenals. And repair/Supply function.
