SITREP
The FKLA (Free Kekestan Liberation Army) is continuing operations in the area of Fire Base X-Ray. Now, a week after the Coup d’état against the Democratic Republic of Kekestan, they have conducted a number of small ambushes and have seized several Air Defense Systems.
With the operations they have openly taunted TFA with probing attacks and intelligence gathering. They are continue small offensive operations in the area and have reinforced an Airfield in the Southwest.
The self-proclaimed leader of the FKLA going by the title of “El Hefei Grand General Meilleur Chien First Minister of Freedom” has taken control of a mysterious cargo shipment and is in the area.
INTEL
The FKLA continues their small unit activities, ambushing and capturing military equipment. With the routing of their forces from the Historic Castle, their leader “El Hefei Grand General Meilleur Chien First Minister of Freedom” (who from here out will be referred to as “Bob”) has delivered more Air Defense weapons and mortars to his Army. They have taken a number of losses against TFA and appear to be gathering intelligence to conduct a massive attack, but first must muster new troops and gather the monetary funds to equip this army with the tools needed to be effective.
The FKLA recruiting slogans continue to baffle the Kekestan Government, as the cries of the new Socialist Ideology of “a bird in hand calls the kettle black” and “it may be a broken record but it is a brick shy of a full load”. Armed with surplus Soviet weapons and home grown tactics they continue to fight.
They have fortified their Defensive Air Defense capabilities and are still focusing on land based attacks to secure control. They continue to fill their ranks with well-trained infantrymen in the operational area.
Weather: Cool and partly cloudy with a light wind blowing to the South. No precipitation expected for the next 24 hours.
Terrain: Mostly desert environment, rolling hills to low mountain peaks, and lightly wooded areas to in our operational area.
MISSION
TFA conducts a deliberate Attack on the KFLA forces located at the Airfield to neutralize the enemy forces and kill or capture “Bob”. TFA will follow Route Green Arrow to maneuver to the Objective Area, then when contact is made will Find, Fix, and Destroy the FKLA forces in and around the Airfield.
TFA will conduct assembly area operations once the enemy forces have been neutralized.
EXECUTION
Platoon Leaders will follow the planned Route Green Arrow to the Objective area. TFA will move by Platoon by M1230 MRAPs along Route Green Arrow to Clear the Route to the Objective area. Using long range engagements and fire and maneuver TFA will neutralize the FKLA forces as much as possible, then will move into Platoon sectors and systematically search and hard clear their sectors. When the FKLA forces Headquarters is found, Secure and Search for any intelligence available, once secured destroy the C2 node. TFA will conduct Assembly area operations when the area is secure.
TFA will operate in a combined Platoon effort to conduct a Route Clearance and Deliberate Attack. Platoon Leaders will deploy their units to provide supporting fires, and coordinate movement to neutralize the FKLA forces. TFA will secure the Airfield to neutralize the enemy forces and kill or capture “Bob”. Expect to encounter BDRMs and Technicals with mounted HMGs and mortar fire. Be prepared to use long range stand-off weapons to maximize your engagement ranges to safeguard your platoon Respawn Vehicle.

Enemy Forces
The FKLA are equipped with Soviet style equipment, and appear to be formed in traditional Squad and Platoon formations. Their equipment includes commercial type vehicles with heavy mounted machine guns, BRDMs, and AN-2 transport aircraft. They have acquired several Air Defense Systems including Zu 23/2 and possibly 57mm Flack Guns. There is evidence of Mine and IEDs in the operational area, and they still have a large force that can be rallied to form a QRF.
We expect the FKLA to fight in small units as they continue to conduct ambushes and reconnaissance operations, they have established a defense in depth in and around the Airfield to protect “Bob” and the transfer of whatever product he is trying to fund his operation with. We still expect the FKLA to rally its forces to mount a deliberate attack on Fire Base X-Ray. Expect the use of mortars in defense and elements to maneuver to the flanks in an attempt to gain control of engagements as they move armed vehicles in to provide overwhelming fires.
Friendly Forces
The Kekestan Government continues to evacuate the bulk of the civilian population from the operational area to safeguard them. They have directed TFA to conduct a search for and recover the missing UN Scientists then return them to Fire Base X-Ray.
The Kekestan Military Force will continue to secure the operational area and provide Intelligence to TFA as it becomes available. The Kekestan Military Forces are operating Fire Base X-Ray and UAV intelligence aircraft.
TFA Equipment
Each Platoon is provided a M1230 MRAP Respawn Vehicle. Respawn is facilitated by Flag Poles at Spawn Point. Spartan will have an additional Respawn Vehicle which can be used if the Platoon Respawn Vehicle become unavailable. All Respawn Vehicles are also Arsenals and have Repair/Supply function.
