SITREP
Ruha is in crisis. The military has successfully overthrown the elected government in a bloody coup and has executed the former administration. Resistance is on the rise against the military rule and bloodshed is widespread. The former government was an ally to the NATO powers, and this is the presumed reason for the overthrow.
Intelligence
SOCOM has several “operatives” in Ruha causing havoc on the Ruha Military (RM) operations. Some of these operatives have been gathering intel on the military sites and movements since the overthrow took place.
A current delegation of two UN ambassadors was sent to Ruha to try and bring the bloodshed to an end. A few days after their arrival in Ruha, they disappeared; this was 5 days ago. As of this intel, the actual fate of the ambassadors is unknown, but it is believed that their well-being will be maintained as long as their leverage as a bargaining chip remains.
The RM has some moderate operational assets at their disposal. A list of these assets is listed below in the OpFor section.
Mission
TFA will depart the airfield east of Korvenoja and precede west on the route marked with purple arrows. Once on the MSR, TFA will head north towards the soccer field in Kaaranmannikko and rescue the hostages. The route once on the MSR is up to the team leaders.
While en route to the objective, locate an operative (Codename Hawkeye) together with any additional intel on RM operations in the area.
Topography: Typical eastern European terrain.
Weather: Cool and sunny.

Opposition Forces
Ruha Military (RM): The RM is a semi-modern force with capable military tactics and determination. Their weapons are late USSR to early Russian Federation style weapons. The RM was in the middle of modernizing their military with NATO weapons when the coup took place.
Their tactics are on level with Spetsnaz since the RM has spent plenty of time being trained by them.
The current known hardware is as follows:
- – BTR-40 (DShK) – used as a technical vehicle with a fire team on board.
- – BTR-80a
- – BMD-1
- – T-72A – Recently acquired from the Russian Federation after the coup
TFA Equipment
Transportation: M1025A2 (M2) for squads and M1025A2 for respawn. All vehicles have onboard arsenals.
Loadouts: The standard 7.62mm/5.56mm weapons. AT single shots and MAAWS.
CAS: None
Comms: SOP rules will be followed
Ammo: Mixed 7.62mm/5.56mm
Rations: Whatever the US Army is willing to part with!
MISSION FAILURE: Death of the two ambassadors.
Additional Intel
The only friendly forces in the AO are the US Army/Air Force personnel at the airfield providing security.
