SITREP
An allied intelligence asset in Chernarus, codename Whippet, has requested urgent assistance. His message stated he was investigating a major threat, potentially serious enough to destablise the country. Political sensitivities in the region mean sending Western troops would not be welcome, so TFA has been asked to assist.
INTEL
Whippet, our contact, is expected to provide us with a comprehensive situation update. A former British tank commander with active deployment experience, he has a well earned reputation for reliable information, plus a level head in a crisis. His job as an electrical engineer provides excellent cover for his intelligence activities.
To avoid attracting suspicion Whippet has arranged our meeting at one of his scheduled jobs, maintenance at a local lighthouse. Your contact passphrase is “There are a lot of rabbits around this year.” His response phrase should be “Yes, and they taste good in mustard sauce.”
A recent photograph of Whippet is attached to this briefing, and should be destroyed before mission.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Chernarus has relatively recently managed to escape from under Russian influence in politics, and though they are embracing their newly Western alignment they are still, understandably, cautious politically.
There is a large event ceremony taking place in the capital today, and many local civilans are expected to be attending the celebrations. We are therefore unlikely to encounter many civilians, although we may encounter checkpoints due to the event security.
Local authorities are aware of our presence, which are manned by the local police. When stopping at checkpoints, identify yourself as the ‘TFA roving security patrol’ and they will wave you through.
Additionally, your mission leader has been provided with a set of official credentials to present should you need to formally verify your identity.
MISSION
Contact Whippet at the meeting point, assess his information, and assist him in neutralising any threat to Chernarus as necessary.
MAP

OPFOR
Unknown, but if a threat does emerge then under the circumstances Russian involvement would not be a surprise.
TFA EQUIPMENT
We have been issued with Chernarus issue uniforms and weaponry so we don’t stand out and attract attention. We have also been provided with Police transport trucks by the local authorities.
Should the need arise, our support team will arrange delivery of more conventional loadouts.
