Glory Days – Mission 2

by Cpl. Ray. Mission date Tuesday 1st September 2026, 19:00 GMT

SITREP

Vietnam has a problem. Older hardliners from the Ho Chi Min days have become impatient with the way the people of Vietnam have begun to embrace western culture and capitalism. They see the youth as lazy and envious of anything to do with convenience. They blame the US for putting these ideas in their heads and now have vowed to turn things around! The hardliners have formed a revolutionary army called the Ho Chi Minh Revolutionaries, or the HCMR.

The Ardistan Army is licking their wounds, but will not give in so easily! A message to the Vietnamese government from the HCMR leadership that any further incursions into the river region by TFA will result in the executions of civilian hostages yet to be rescued. Although the Ardistan Army did not issue this order, the Vietnamese still holds the Ardistan forces accountable!

The Vietnamese National Assembly do not want the US or its allies military on Vietnamese soil. However, a small contingent of USAF personnel has been granted permission to occupy an older FOB called Con Tho in the country’s river region.

INTEL

With the HCMR fighting in many areas around the country, the Ardistan Army is slowly securing the river routes for the HCMR revolution effort. They have brought in several T-55 MBTs and Hilux pickups with mounted DShKs. They have set up checkpoints at several river crossings to maintain control over the routes. The Ardistan Army is still looking for some payback.

Weather: Partly cloudy and humid.

Terrain: Mostly flat with dense vegetation and tree coverage and lots of rivers.

MISSION

TFA will leave FOB Con Tho and proceed west to the several villages marked on the map to eliminate all Ardistan Army troops and rescue the hostages caught by them for protection leverage.

All civilians rescued will be checked medically but left in place to the Vietnamese military to pick up and send home.

Once all objectives are achieved, TFA will return to the FOB for Endex.

Ghost will be available upon his arrival to the mission area!

MISSION DIRECTIVE UPDATE

In each objective is an officer and NCO. The Vietnamese National Assembly has had little luck gathering any useable intel from the Ardistans captured during the last mission. The Vietnamese military have found the Ardistan leadership quite belligerent in all responses.

For this reason, the Vietnamese government has issued a “shoot on sight” order for all Ardistan leadership. The continued capture of Ardistan Army regulars (soldiers) is still in effect. For the regular soldiers that surrender: detain, treat medically and mark their location on the map.
