Congo Wars

by Capt. RedWeasel. Mission date Tuesday 15th September 2026, 19:00 GMT

SITREP

TFA had been conducting Stability Operations in southern Congo, when a rebellion erupted and three factions have gained control of various areas in Congo.

We have consolidated and has established a Forward Operations Base here at the southern Airport, unfortunately there are no aircraft available here so we must move north to expedite our exfiltration. We are unsure of the state of the civilians in the contested areas.

To exfil we must travel through the three Objective Areas: KULA KULA, ELSAVILLE, and SWAGGA, At Swagga we will secure a civilian DC-3 and depart the area.

INTEL

The forces we face are equipped with former Soviet State weapons and equipment. They are mostly military forces made up of Motorized Infantry Units and Soviet style weapons and equipment. They have several Land Rover mounted MGs and a number of T-34 Tanks. RECON Photos indicate the Tanks have been deployed to defend the Swagga International Airport.

Expect each of the Objective areas to contain a C2 node indicated on the photos, and to be occupied with Command Elements. Expect aggressive operations from foot patrols and the probability their forces can be quickly displaced and relocated. We consider the all three of these forces to be well trained and dangerous.

There is no known use of Mines of IEDs in the area.

Each Faction has seized control of different points of Congo, and we assume each plan to continue to expansion to gain control of larger territories of Congo and hold it by military force. This is a three way civil war and TFA currently does not have a dog in the fight.

Weather: It is warm, mildly humid, with a cool breeze blowing, there are no prediction of rain for the next 24 hours.

Terrain: Rolling hills to mountainous regions with farmland and small to medium urban areas, and wooded forests throughout the operational area.

MISSION

TFA conducts a series of hasty attacks on the Congolese Forces to neutralize their threat and clear a path to our exfiltration from the Swagga International Airport in a civilian DC-3.

EXECUTION

TFA has occupied an Assembly Area at our current location. The Platoon Leaders will decide how they will Find, Fix, and Destroy the enemy assets along our assigned route to the Swagga International Airport.

TFA will conduct a ground based assault to Find, Fix, and Destroy the Congolese Forces in our assigned route to the Swagga International Airport, where we will secure a civilian DC-3 and exfiltrate to a safe nation. TFA maneuvers into the Operational Area, where Platoon Leaders will direct the effort to find, fix and destroy the enemy forces and resources along the route to the Swagga Airport including all ground forces, vehicles and C2 Nodes.

Platoon Leaders will coordinate movement and attack plans with Spartan as they move through the region in route to secure the DC-3.

We have limited Intelligence of the forces in the contested areas.

RECONNAISSANCE PHOTOS

Enemy Forces

Three independent forcers hold various locations between TFA and our ability to depart the area. They all have a number of Motorized Infantry Units and are equipped with various Soviet style weapons and systems.

Objective Kula Kula is controlled by the Belgian Congolese, is mostly an Infantry Origination and has Jeep mounted MGs. They are controlled by local Warlords and are inhuman when dealing with civilians.

Objective Elsaville is controlled by the United Forces of the Kingdom of Kongo. They too are mostly an Infantry Origination with Jeep mounted MGs, controlled by a more traditional military chain of command directly connected to the sovereign line.

Objective Swagga is controlled by the military forces of Portuguese Angola, and in addition to the Infantry Origination with Jeep mounted MGs they have a number of T-34/85s deployed in the defense of Swagga.

TFA does not have a diplomatic status in the current situation, and must reach Swagga to expedite our exfiltration to a safe nation.

Friendly Forces

There are no current Friendly Forces to TFA in the operational area.

TFA Equipment

Each Platoon will have a respawn vehicle, Reinforcements (Respawns) are facilitated by the use of the Platoon Reinforcement Flag Poles, and additionally a Platoon Recon Vehicle is also available with its own dedicated Flag Pole.
