SITREP
As you know, our recent mission to Sahrani unexpectedly ended with our retreat to an old fallout shelter as a suspected nuclear missile headed towards Paraiso.
Unfortunately for us the shelter maintenance was a little lacking, and it took a couple of days to persuade the blast doors to let us back out. Fortunately the place had a full kitchen and supplies, so we haven’t gone hungry – although that’s positively the last time we do Taco Tuesday in a hermetically sealed environment…
Anyway, now we’re out, have had a nice, fresh meal, and are ready to assist the local population as best we can. IDAP have mounted an emergency response, and we’ve agreed to stay on for a few days to provide extra security against both petty criminals and any OpFor who may still be hiding out on the island.
INTEL
Although we feared the incoming missile was a tactical nuke, it appears to have been carrying an experimental Non-Nuclear EMP warhead (NNEMP, or E-bomb) instead. This has had the effect of disabling civilian infrastructure and damaging delicate electronics, but with none of the fallout or physical destruction. There is dangerous chemical fallout from this kind of weapon, though, and some nasty burn cases have already been reported.
Civilian services are still being repaired, including the power plant, so the island is on generator power for now. The cell towers are still down, but there is walkie talkie and ham radio contact between various sites, and our own radios still work.
MISSION
TFA will flex to wherever on the island needs our assistance to provide security. Requests for help will be relayed through Spartan. We will be escorting an emergency ambulance that has been assigned to us in case medical aid is required at a location.
MAP

OpFor
There are potentially still some OpFor hiding out on the island, so keep an eye out.
TFA Equipment
The vehicles we used in the previous mission have already been pressed into service elsewhere, so we have been provided with IDAP offroad trucks to use instead.
Loadouts are the new Ray loadouts, but with a few tweaks. In particular, our night vision gear has gone missing. Hopefully, we might find the thieves on our travels! We still have all our flashlights, though.
Oh, and due to the potential chemical threat, CBRN suits and gas masks are MANDATORY. Have fun!
